At Foot Solutions Stillorgan our highly trained team has the tools – and the experience – to evaluate your feet, pinpoint problems and recommend solutions that work.
Using some of today’s most advanced digital technology, we map your feet carefully, noting every curve and bump. Then we take the time to evaluate how your feet distribute your weight as you stand and walk, and how they affect your balance and your posture.
Once we know all that, we’re ready to help you choose from a wide selection of dress, casual and athletic shoes, custom or standard arch supports, and accessories – and modify them right in the store to make sure they fit your feet properly and provide the comfort you’re looking for.
Blanaid Farrell – Co-owner and Director
Blanaid has a mixed background in business having had a knitting retail store in central Dublin in the 80s and a cleaning business in the 90s. She currently, alongside running Foot Solutions, manages a small bookkeeping business which comes in handy when handling the company books! Blanaid is hands-on and very active in background running of Foot Solutions Stillorgan. She works very closely with Brenda, the store manager, on a daily basis, choosing styles and products needed. She also enjoys dealing with customers directly and knocking a bit of craic out of them!
A keen sporty person, Blanaid plays tennis and golf and walks daily. She is an animal lover (has 2 dogs and a cat – the cat is 22 years old so she must be doing something right!!!). She is an avid reader and really enjoys her book club. She has also taken up Bridge recently – not easy but very challenging!
Brenda O’Mahoney – Store Manager
Brenda joined the company at the outset (7 years ago). A fiercely empathetic person she has a very special, professional customer approach determined to give them what they need as well as what they want. Customers love her! Brenda manages the store to perfection and is actively involved in style selection.
When Brenda is not managing the store she is a busy Mum of 5 kids, most actively involved in Gaelic sports so she spends her weekends on the side lines of GAA pitches. She is an avid reader and enjoys her book club. To keep fit she walks and ‘chats’ with her friends most evenings too!
Carolyn Bartlett – Assistant Manager
Carolyn is with the company since opening in 2010. She came to us with 1.5 years’ experience at the South Great Georges Street store.
Carolyn has completed courses in Reflexology and Massage which gives her valuable knowledge of the human body and bio-mechanics. Very handy when you work at Foot Solutions!
Carolyn is the ‘rock chick’ in the team. She regularly attends music events and gigs and is actively involved in the ‘Vibe’ for Phil Lynott. The Vibe is an annual event held to commemorate the legacy of Phil Lynott.
Deirdre Van Der Westhuizen
Deirdre is the newest member of the team. She is a deep thinker, a good listener and extremely patient which helps enormously in taking on the training and learning to deal with our customers’ various issues.
Deirdre is a keen walker and walks to work every day and loves to listen to her music as she walks. Deirdre lived in South Africa for over 5 years and as the weather lent itself to outdoor activity she took part in lots of swimming in the Indian Ocean and walking on the gorgeous sandy beaches of Durban. She is married to Russell and they enjoy going to concerts and cinema and eating out.
Diane is with the company since 2014. Diane’s experience lies in customer service which we all agree is second to none. Customer’s love her down to earth attitude and the time she takes to explain our processes. She loves meeting people and getting to understand what makes them tick.
Diane is our all-rounder – she likes to swim and has keen interest in gardening and the great outdoors. Diane loves wearing her Xsensible ‘Filly’ Stretch Walkers when she is wandering about the hills of Dublin!
Joan is with the company since 2016 but has been a customer since 2010. Joan has a great sense of style and loves to marry this with comfort. Joan loves to chat, meet new people and her down to earth approach is a great asset. An ideal Foot Solutions customer and staff member.
Joan loves her cats, walking in her Xsensible stretch walkers and spending time with her mum who is in her 84th year and showing no signs of slowing down.
Lisa is with the company since early 2014 and a very valuable team player.
Lisa is the ‘cheeky face’ of the team. Customers love her ‘Dublin’ wit and humour and we constantly hear customers having a good chuckle at things she says.
Lisa’s knowledge and experience as a Marathon Runner is invaluable to our running community customers. She is always on hand to give advice on training, warming up and warming down and she absolutely loves Brooks runners.
Her next run is ‘Darkness into Light’ on Saturday 6th May 2017 followed by ‘The Mini Marathon’ on Monday 5th June.
